Health & Safety Audits

Hallam Safety can assist employers with Health and Safety compliance by undertaking a systematic examination of the organisations arrangements and workplace precautions by way of active monitoring.

This form of monitoring reports on the suitability of the organisations health and safety arrangements and gives a snapshot on performance, how risks are being controlled, if workplace precautions are adequate and recommendations for improvement where so identified.  It also assists with trend analysis.

An action and timescale is located at the end of each area of audit/inspection report to communicate to the stakeholder how the non-conformance has or will be closed out within a given timescale. Good practice and photographs are always included in reports.

Types of audit include:

  • Safety Audits – a full review of documentation & working practices
  • Safety Inspections – a full review of the activities being undertaken by a sub-contractor or re-hire supplier.
  • Safety Sampling – concentrating on a particular activity or area (s) of activity e.g. plant and machinery, work at height, workplace transport.
  • Development of Supervisor or Manager, H&S checklist or audit document.
